Naturally Leavened Naan made in a Frying Pan

I often use natural leaven to make breads and so I decided to try using it to make naan.
It turns out you can cook naturally leavened bread in a frying pan.
When the surface of the naan puffs up in 3 places, it's time to flip it over. When using only bread flour, increase the bread flour by 50 g to get the same result. Recipe by yoshikoskz

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Add all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix it until they gather together. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- 2
Knead well for 15 minutes.
- 3
Place the dough in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap to prevent drying out. Let sit until it has doubled in size. I placed it in a styrofoam container and controlled the temperature by putting boiling water, at 30°C, into a bottle. I let it sit for 80 minutes and it expanded to this size.
- 4
Let Step 3 rest in the refrigerator for about 8 hours.
- 5
Shape the dough.
- 6
Melt the butter in a heated frying pan and cook both sides of the naan.

Light and Puffy Homemade Naan Bread in a Pan Light and Puffy Homemade Naan Bread in a Pan
I wanted to make naan that not only went well with curry, but could be enjoyed for breakfast if any were left over. Since they can be cooked in a frying pan and will puff up nicely, they might be easier than regular rolls or loaves of bread!Since the dough continues to rise with residual heat after it's microwaved, put it in a warm place if possible. The dough will puff up when it's cooked.Since I added yogurt to the dough, it has a lightly tart, but easy-to-eat flavor. If you use milk only it will have a gentle creamy flavor. I recommend that too. For 4 pieces. Recipe by yaburie cookpad.japan -

Air Fryer Naan / Flat Bread Air Fryer Naan / Flat Bread
I love Naan especially fresh and hot. It is surprising easy to do in your air fryer and because you are using an air fryer, you don't get any smoke like you do when you use a cast iron pan. This recipe is super flexible. You can use different sweeteners though they need to be sugar in nature for the yeast to work. As well, you can mix in things like dried fruit just before you let the dough prove; make sure your mix ins don't contain salt or too much moisture. If you want something that is whole wheat based, you can swap 2 cups of flour for it.If you feel like adding some seasoning to the rolled out dough before you air fry it, that works too. Just remember that seasoning in the air fryer goes a long ways Chris Jordan -

Chewy Naan with Homemade Yeast Chewy Naan with Homemade Yeast
I generally make naan with dry yeast, but this time, I made it with the last bit of my homemade yeast. These are easy to make since they don't need a second proving. There's no need for them to rise much, so you can make them with a small amount of yeast. Since the dough has little moisture, like bagel dough, it's a bit difficult to knead. For those who like soft naan, add more water. Recipe by kazz72 cookpad.japan -
Easy & Authentic Naan Bread Easy & Authentic Naan Bread
I wanted to make freshly cooked naan at home, so I cam up with this recipe. Please be sure to bake the naan on the at a high temperature. It will be nicely browned, as delicious as authentic Indian naan is. For the all purpose flour, use Lys d'Or or a flour that is specifically meant for French-style bread. If you can't get all purpose flour, use half each of cake and bread flours.I added baking powder to the recipe to improve it. If you don't have any though, you can just omit it. Basic Naan Basic Naan
There are a variety of ways to make naan - with baking powder or baking soda, adding eggs, etc. but I settled on this simple combination of ingredients using instant dried yeast. Since naan is made to eat with curry, there's not much need to season it. Since they're so plain, pretty much anyone will like these.Since there is no second proving, these can be made relatively quickly. There's no need for oil when baking. I recommend using a non-stick frying pan. Recipe by Yukiline cookpad.japan -

Fried Salted Naan Fried Salted Naan
You get naan in a store in a package and it's not like fresh naan. So I thought to myself I don't have an oven with open fire to throw raw naan on the side to cook. Since if I order it from the local restaurant by the time I get home with it to eat with soup, my special diet I have to be on. I just fry it. It went perfectly well with my soup!!! Success!!! skunkmonkey101
