I came up with this recipe as a drinking appetizer that'll still delicious even if made in advance.

When you cut the ham into round strips, if you cut them a bit wider than the chikuwa, the ham sticks out from the chikuwa like flowers and they look cute.
You can substitute mayonnaise with ketchup if you like. 
It might be cute if you change the asparagus to some other ingredient. Recipe by mybinue

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2sheets Ham (thinly sliced)
  2. 1Chikuwa
  3. 2Asparagus
  4. 1Mayonnaise

Cooking Instructions

    Preparation: Cut the chikuwa lengthwise. Cut the pre-boiled asparagus the same length as the chikuwa (approximately into half).

    Cut the ham into round strips.

  3. 3

    Place the asparagus on the ham so that the outside edge of the ham comes to the top. Roll up.

  4. 4

    Wrap with the chikuwa, and secure with toothpicks. Decorate with mayonnaise if you want, and it's done. This picture was taken before decorating with mayonnaise.
