With a Pan! Asian Sweet Potato Chips

My dad came up with this recipe and eats as a snack.
Slicing the potatoes thinly as much as you can for a crunchy texture.
It won't cook well if the slices dries out on the surface, so start cooking right after you slice them.
I use a knife to cut the potatoes so there are a few thick ones. But they are like soft chips? and good too. Recipe by Royalhamy

Sweet Potato Chips Sweet Potato Chips
I love the salty butter flavor of "Osatsudoki" snacks, and wondered if I could recreate it at home. I gave it a try and my family loved it.☆So I published the recipe. If you slice the sweet potato too thick, it's difficult to quick-fry. Please be sure to adjust the flavor in Step 1. I added salt last, and it was nothing but a lump of salt in the end.I'm scared of flying hot oil, so I combined the oil and the sweet potato together. The oil doesn't have to be pre-warmed for you to be able to quick-fry. Easy! Tasty! Sweet Potato Chips Easy! Tasty! Sweet Potato Chips
When I added soy sauce, these became even tastier than I expected!!They were also a hit with my friend, and when I shared the recipe with her, her family also raved about them.Could it be that soy sauce is the taste of comfort for Japanese people?!- If sliced too thinly, the chips will be too oily, so slice to a substantial thickness.- To drain the excess oil, spread on a sheet of newspaper.- Adjust the amount of sauce to the sweetness of the potato, or to whatever you prefer.- If deep-fried for too long, they'll become bitter, so be careful!! Sweet potato and chips chaat Sweet potato and chips chaat
Chaat is a bold and colourful snack that is a “must” have for iftar. It is made almost on daily basis with some variations.Chaat is a popular street food snack that combines the crunch of chips with bold flavours of chaat masala, fresh herbs, chutneys, vegetables, spices and lemon juice. The best thing is that it is easy to prepare and takes little time, which makes it ideal for a weekday when you are too exhausted to stand by a stove after a lengthy fast.A humble blend of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavours, this Sweet Potato and Chips Chaat, on the other hand, is different from the regular aloo channa chaat (Chickpeas and Potato Chaat). Here sweet potato replaces the regular boiled potatoes and there are no chickpeas either. This recipe is simple. Chop the boiled, peeled sweet potato and mix it with onion, cilantro and green chillies along with salt, chilli powder, cumin powder, chaat masala and lemon juice. Just combine everything and just before serving, crush chips and add. Enjoy! In this recipe, everything is balanced – sweetness of the sweet potato, faint pungency of chaat masala, and tanginess of lemon juice and crunch of chips. That’s the flavor pairing, you would absolutely love. This is a super quick, low-fat, nutritious snack to enjoy. Sarvat Hanif -

Simply Seasoned Asian Sweet Potato Potage Simply Seasoned Asian Sweet Potato Potage
When making potage for my children when they were very young, I would only season it with salt. I actually preferred it to the way it tastes when made with stock and other seasonings, so I've been making it with just salt ever since.Adjust the seasoning according to your tastes.Do not allow the soup to boil.I add water to make it smooth and extra healthy, it is also nice with milk/soy milk as the only liquid. Easy! Cute Bite-Size Asian Sweet Potato Cakes Easy! Cute Bite-Size Asian Sweet Potato Cakes
I made cute looking Asian sweet potato cakes. If you want to make it smooth, strain the potatoes. But I think mashing is enough. Cookie cutters with complicated shape are not good for this. You could use only egg yolks for the glaze, but I used a whole egg. Use the leftover eggs for something else. Recipe by Soraironikki cookpad.japan
