Ingredients

5 servings
  1. 6tomatoes
  2. 3large carrots
  3. 6onions
  4. 1capsicum
  5. 1 bunchcoriander
  6. 6Irish potatoes
  7. 4 tablespoonstomato paste
  8. 1garlic
  9. 2 sachetroyco
  10. 500 mlfermented milk (maziwa mala)
  11. 1/2 kgmeat
  12. 1 pinchsalt to taste
  13. 3 cupsrice
  14. 1 pinchfood coloring
  15. 2 tbsppilau masala

Cooking Instructions

    Slice and boil the meat till soft. Remove from the heat and add fermented milk. Let it rest for 30mins

    Slice and blend tomatoes and set aside

  3. 3

    Grate the carrots and set aside

  4. 4

    Wash and peel Irish potatoes. Slice and set aside

  5. 5

    Slice capsicum and coriander leaves. Set aside

  6. 6

    Put some oil in a pan on medium heat. Slice onions and fry till golden brown

  7. 7

    Pound or grate garlic and ginger and add on the pan.

    Add the sliced Irish potatoes. Fry till it's partly cooked..

    Add grated carrots. Fry till it's cooked.

    Add blended tomatoes and mix. Let it cook for a while.

    Add tomato paste, royco, pilau masala and salt. Add the meat and the soup (just enough) and mix. Let it boil

    Add coriander and capsicum. Mix till it's ready

    For the rice, just wash and boil, and add food coloring when it's almost ready. Leave it to dry

    Serve and enjoy
