Ingredients

Half an hour
as required
  1. 300 gramsmango pulp (2 mangoes)
  2. 75-80 gramssugar
  3. As neededElaichi powder (optional)
  4. 1/4 tsp black salt

Cooking Instructions

Half an hour
  1. 1

Firstly wash the mangoes and peel them. Remove the pulp. Now in a grinder add all the pulp and grind it into a smooth paste.

  2. 2

Now heat a pan add the grinded pulp into it. Add sugar. Now mix them well and cook it on a low flame. When the sugar gets dissolved completely and gets mixed with the mango-pulp, add the black salt. Mix it. Now cook the mixture for about 8 mins.

  3. 3

When the mixture starts changing its colour, add elaichi powder into it, mix it. Now cook it for 2 more mins. Switch off the flame.

  4. 4

Now grease a plate with some ghee. Then pour the mixture into it. Spread it evenly around the plate by just moving the plate in a circular motion. It will automatically settle down. No need to spread it with your hand. Now let it sun-dry for 48 hrs at least. You can cover it with a muslin cloth, to avoid settling of dirt over it.

  5. 5

Remove it from the plate, after it dries out completely. Now give it a desired shape. I have wrapped them with a wrapping paper.
