Sata Andagi (Okinawan Donuts)

I wanted to try making sata andagi at least once. I was able to learn how to make them when I vacationed in Okinawa. I'm so glad they came out nicely.
Oiling your hands before rolling the dough balls will make them easier to handle.
Slowly fry the dough balls. If they develop cracks on the surface like flower petals, they're a success! Recipe by kmukuchap

Sata Andagi Okinawan Doughnuts Sata Andagi Okinawan Doughnuts
Here are the amounts of ingredients that I always refer to when preparing these doughnuts.Briefly mix the ingredients. It only takes about 5 minutes! When you are rolling the dough into balls, if you don't apply some oil to your hands, it will stick to them. If you want to make sure they are cooked through, insert a bamboo skewer and check. They will get burnt easily in oil at high temperature. Please deep-fry them slowly and patiently at low temperature! [Farmhouse Recipe] Brown Sugar Sata Andagi Donuts [Farmhouse Recipe] Brown Sugar Sata Andagi Donuts
I often make simple donuts out of tempura flour, but it's sweet potato season right now so I decided to make these this time. The batter will be really thick so you will probably find it hard to mix. You might find it a bit messy but I tend to mix these donuts with my hands. These donuts contain brown sugar and will burn quite easily, which is why it's important to keep them under 3 cm in diameter. If they're too big the outsides will burn before they cook through to the middle. Recipe by FarmersK cookpad.japan -
Ready In A Jiffy!! Saataa Andaagii! (Okinawan donuts) Ready In A Jiffy!! Saataa Andaagii! (Okinawan donuts)
I wanted to eat these right away!! I made them while thinking back to the ones I had a long time ago!I made these as an experiment using a standard ingredient ratio, but they were such a big hit I immediately tripled the amounts. Those disappeared in no time too.The key point is to fry the donuts in low temperature oil! That's it really. When I tried making triple the amount of dough, it was really tough to knead it all at once! It was so hard to work in the flour! So, it's best to knead it in 3 batches of the basic amount, and then combine the batches at the end. This is not only easier in the end, it's harder to mess up and will ultimately result in better-tasting donuts. Recipe by ann-monamie cookpad.japan -

Baked Rice Flour and Okara Donuts with Brown Sugar & Kinako Baked Rice Flour and Okara Donuts with Brown Sugar & Kinako
I wanted to make a new okara based confectionary ... I made this recipe referencing Lenna's ”Low Calorie Baked Donut using Tofu and Okara. I made it with the combination of my favorite brown sugar and soy bean powder, and wrote it down and posted it here so I wouldn't forget it.You can make this without oil, but it will get dry and unpleasant to the palate after a while (especially after defrosting), so it's better to add it. Use an amount to your liking. For 65g, for about 7 pieces;124kcal each. Recipe by tearstar cookpad.japan -

Keep an eye on them as they bake.In Step 3, if you don't have enough butter to grease the donut molds, use vegetable oil.If the donuts are removed from the molds after they completely cool, they may break apart. Auntie Machi's Beloved Donuts Auntie Machi's Beloved Donuts
My father: "I want to eat Machi's donuts..." All my relatives: "Me too!!"My Auntie Machi has been making these donuts and gotten lots of love for them for decades. I wanted to continue the tradition, so I asked her to teach me how to make them.Don't overmix the dough! Make the dough rather thick! Don't over-fry! Eat the donuts when they're piping hot! Have fun making them and don't get too hung up on the details. The consistency of the dough may change depending on how big the eggs you have are. When you add water in Step 3, make sure the dough is just about stiff enough to cut out, no stiffer. You can add a bit of cake flour too if needed. Recipe by Mareko cookpad.japan -
