French Toast with Banana Soymilk

I wanted to create a breakfast with nice aromas in order to start the day off cheerfully.

When heating the banana sauce, put the banana slice into a deep heatproof container without covering.
Don't overcook, or the sauce will boil over.
If using sugar instead of Pal Sweet, double the amount listed. Sprinkle some lemon juice on the banana to prevent it from changing colour. Recipe by vegeful

  1. French toast
  2. 2 slicePullman loaf cut vertically into 6 slices
  3. 100 mlSoy milk
  4. 1Egg
  5. 1 tbspPal Sweet (aspartame sweetener)
  6. 1 dashMaple essence or vanilla extract
  7. Banana sauce
  8. 1Banana
  9. 1 tspPal Sweet (aspartame sweetener)
  10. 1 tspRum
  11. 1/2 tspLemon juice
  12. 1 dashMaple essence or vanilla extract
  13. Other:
  14. 10 gramsButter

Cooking Instructions

    Whisk the egg into a bowl, add the sweetener, soy milk and a little of the maple essence, and mix thoroughly.

    Cut the bread slices into 2 to 4 pieces, and soak in the solution made during Step 1. Butter a heated pan and cook the bread on both sides.

    Slice the banana, put the slices in a heatproof container and sprinkle with lemon juice. Add in the rest of ingredients and microwave for 1.5 minutes without covering.

    Spread plenty of banana sauce on the toasted bread.

    Use 2 sheets of bread from a loaf sliced into 6. If using a loaf sliced into 5, use 1.5 sheets, or increase to 3 sheets with double the portion of egg mixture.
