Omurice (Rice Omelette) Omurice (Rice Omelette)
I feel so happy when I have delicious food. The memory of those flavors lingers on afterwards. Recently, I've been thinking that it's so wonderful to be able to share the same memories with people important to you through cooking. It may look like there are many steps in this omelette recipe, but it's actually a simple way to recreate the "fluffy and creamy" texture of restaurant omelette without fail. Please adjust the cooking times in Steps 1 and 4 to taste! It's best to stop cooking the omelette when it's softer-set than you think it ought to be. For 2 large servings!. Recipe by Masa yon cookpad.japan -
For Omurice ~ Chicken Rice For Omurice ~ Chicken Rice
Stir-fried ketchup rice is high in calories, so I always make it in the rice cooker. My son likes strong flavors, so I always add a little ketchup to the rice when it's done. I sometimes make omurice, but my son prefers the egg mixed in.This time I used ham, but if you are using chicken, slice it into small pieces, season it with salt and pepper, and cook it with the rice in the rice cooker. Green pepper browns when cooked, so I stir-fry half the amount and add it at the end for a nice, colorful finish. Of course, you can just cook it all in the rice cooker if you want! Omurice is a Japanese style dish which is an omelet containing a filling of stir-fried rice with tomato catsup. This is a favorite for kids, and my favorite, too! It might not be easy to cover with the egg at the first, but take your time to practice. Even if it doesn't look right, it will still taste good. Don't worry! Yuki -
Soft Tamagoyaki for Bento Soft Tamagoyaki for Bento
I wanted to make a tamagoyaki for bento that would be delicious and springy even cold. I wanted it to be bouncy, so I based my method on chawanmushi (steamed savory custard) instructions.Straining the egg mixture will produce a smooth texture. Adjust the heat by removing the frying pan from the heat while cooking. It is difficult to roll the egg when it is soft set, but this will prevent any brown layers from appearing when the egg has been wrapped up. Addendum: adjust the amount of seasoning when using large-sized eggs. Recipe by Momonoyasashiikaori cookpad.japan -

Omurice with Well-Flavoured Chicken Rice Omurice with Well-Flavoured Chicken Rice
I wanted to eat the omurice with well-flavoured ketchup rice...Using a rice cooker tends to make the rice taste mild, but with this recipe it'll be well-seasoned. So it's great cooled to pack in your bento.Make sure you mix the ingredients before cooking ー If you don't mix well and the ketchup has lumps, it will scorch. You can also use Japanese worcestershire sauce! I used wiener sausages this time. But if you want to cook proper chicken rice, use 100 g of chicken seasoned with a little salt and pepper. You can omit the garlic powder if you wish.Cook the rice on the normal setting, and not the quick mode otherwise the rice will be on the firm side.
