Easy, Crispy Rice Flour Pizza

When I was thinking up rice flour recipes, I tried making a pizza crust with rice flour. No dry yeast is needed, and no rising time is required for this easy pizza crust. The rice flour makes it crispy and crunchy.
When kneading the dough, add the water little by little to adjust the consistency. Use rice flour that's meant for making bread and pastries. Since this type of rice flour includes some wheat gluten, it will turn out crispy yet chewy. If you use 100% rice flour, it will have a rougher cracker-like mouth feel. For two pies, each 20 cm [7.9 in] in diameter. Recipe by satorepi

Cooking Instructions
- 1
I use this rice flour (it's meant for baking so it contains wheat gluten). It's really handy for making bread and cake, besides pizza dough.
- 2
Put the rice flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and mix together quickly. Add the olive oil and water, and mix well.
- 3
When the dough comes together, knead it well for about a minute. If the dough sticks to your hands, add a bit more rice flour.
- 4
Divide the dough into 2 pieces and round off each piece. Place the dough on a sheet of plastic wrap, cover with another sheet of plastic and roll out into a 20 cm diameter flat circle. Fold the edges in a bit.
- 5
Spread the tomato sauce evenly on the crust from about 1 cm in from the edge. Add toppings and cheese of your choice, and bake in a 220°C oven for 20-25 minutes.
- 6
This is a pizza with canned tuna, cherry tomato and basil sauce. I used a tasty ketchup instead of tomato sauce.
- 7
Here it is with lots of cheese.
- 8
It looks like this when baked. The crust is crispy.
- 9
With the other crust I made a zucchini, salted silver-stripe herring filet and shiso pizza. It's topped with coarsely ground black pepper and lots of cheese.
- 10
This is the salted silver-stripe herring filet (kibinago filet) I used. It can be used like anchovies.
- 11
Here is my standard pizza pie. Bacon, onions, green peppers and lots of cheese.
- 12
Here I used a mixture of 1 tablespoon miso and 2 tablespoons mirin instead of tomato sauce. It's topped with canned tuna, green onions and mayonnaise, for a Japanese-flavored pizza.

I used home-made rice flour to try out various dishes, and came up with a simple and delicious chewy dough. This is a convenient way to re-appropriate leftovers from other dishes. This dough has the stickiness of rice flour, and a delicious salty taste. Use sugar, soy sauce, or nori seaweed for mochi rice dumplings, or enjoy it as pizza for a nice side dish. When baking in a toaster oven, divide the dough in half and shape into 2 oblong pieces. Please be careful not to burn yourself. When I make this, I always reduce the recipe by one half. Recipe by mini cookpad.japan -

Easy Crispy Pizza Easy Crispy Pizza
I'm so hooked on homemade pizza. I started being lazy with it since I wanted to make the procedures more simple, and ended up with this easy recipe. These days I'm even making this on a busy weekday night.Just remember that it's 50 g of flour per serving, and the water should be half the amount of the flour Please increase the amount of ingredients according to the number of servings. When using aluminum foil, roll it up before spreading it out. This makes the foil slightly bumpy to prevent the dough from sticking (I didn't do this when I took the photo, so it was really a hassle afterwards).I advise you to use a sheet of parchment paper. My cake flour naanwas popular, so I tried making pizza in the same way, and it was so delicious that it surprised me.It is best if the dough is sticky when you start kneading. Add water if it feels hard. It will stop sticking as you knead it. It will become hard if you overcook it, so take it out once it turns golden brown and turn off the heat.
