I was just wondering if fu would work in an oyako don and tried it out.

I recommend using minced chicken thigh.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2bowls Hot cooked rice
  2. 200 gramsMinced chicken thigh
  3. 3Eggs
  4. 1/2Onion
  5. 12 gramsFu
  6. 1Vegetable oil
  7. 1Mitsuba
  8. 2 tbsp★Soy sauce
  9. 3 tbsp★Mirin
  10. 2 tbspSugar
  11. 1and 1/2 teaspoon ★Dashi stock granules
  12. 150 mlWater

Cooking Instructions

    Slice the onion. Combine the ★ ingredients.

  2. 2

    Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry and crumble the minced chicken. Add the onion and stir. Add the ★ ingredients and fu. Flip over the fu and simmer until the onion softens.

  3. 3

    Pour over the lightly beaten eggs and turn off the heat when the egg is soft-set. Transfer onto the rice in a bowl and scatter with mitsuba.
