For Spice Mixture:-
Combine dried red chillies, curry leaves, cumin seeds, garlic cloves and black peppercorn in a blender and grind it into coarsely. - 2
If using freshly made idli, refrigerate it for 30 minutes before using it. Cut idli into pieces.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, 3-4 curry leaves and let the mustard crackle.
Then add the spice mixture prepared and stir fry for few seconds. Then add the cut idlis pieces in the pan. Stir fry for 2-3 mins. - 4
Add salt and sambar masala. Mix the idlis very well in the spice mixture evenly. Switch off the gas.

Fried masala idlis are ready. Serve hot.

Sprinkle lemon juice or chopped coriander leaves or chaat masala before serving.
