This is a Power packed nutrient rich Dal preparation with 5 types of Dal / Lentils and Moringa leaves.
When we were kids my mom and grandma used to often cook it at least once or twice a month. Today to the same preperation, I have added Moringa leaves to make it more nutritious. It's easy way to make my son have Moringa leaves.
It's preperation is very simple and easy but very tasty to have with the garlic tempering.

Wash and soak the Dal for 2-3 hours. Cook the Dal with ginger garlic paste, mustard oil and turmeric till its soft and mushy. You can slow cook or pressure cook the Dal. Add salt & the moringa leaves and cook for another 10-15 minutes. Check consistency of the Dal and adjust accordingly. Once Dal is ready, heat ghee in a pan, add the whole dry Chilli (tear a bit to avoid bursting) and the chopped garlic and when it starts turning brown, pour it on the Dal. Enjoy hot!
