Makhana kheer is a dessert made with milk, foxnuts, dryfruits, sugar and ghee. This kheer is very easy to make and can be consumed during fasting
Steps

Heat ghee in a pan.

Add cashew, almond, raisins, chironjee and coconut.

Roast on low flame till golden brown. Keep it aside

Add in the makhana in the same pan and roast on low flame till they become crisp. Keep aside.

Now boil the milk in a heavy bottomed flame on low medium flame.

When milk comes to a boil, add all the roasted dryfruits and makhana. Keep stirring.

Add in the saffron, cardamom powder and sugar. Mix well.

Keep stirring and simmer it for about 12-15 minutes.

Serve makhana kheer hot or cold.
