This daal is available on the road side small restaurants on High way.
Steps

Soak daal for few hours.

Boil daal with garlic powder,salt and half of turmeric till tender and some gravy is left.

Finely chop the onion,tomatoes,ginger and coriander leaves.

Slice the chillies.

Heat oil in a pan.

Add in garlic paste and saute for a minute.

Add in onion and tomatoes.

Fry till tomatoes are tender.

Add in all the spices and mix.

Add in daal and stir well.

Cook on high flame till oil lightly floats on surface.

Lastly throw in coriander leaves,chillies and ginger.

Serve with rice/roti.
