Rice Flour Cocoa Cake for Valentine's Day

This is based on a recipe I found while searching for a cake for my daughter with food allergies, but the original recipe has been deleted, so I came up with my own version.
My friends tell me that this is great even for those without food allergies. It's so moist and delicious. It has less calories than standard gateau au chocolat.
Depending on the rice flour you use, the amount of moisture needed may vary. The baking time may also vary depending on your oven, so adjust as necessary. Recipe by Areko haha yuukorin

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl, and mix.
- 2
In a separate bowl, combine the vegetable oil and chilled water, then add the vinegar and vanilla essence. Preheat the oven to 180℃.
- 3
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with a whisk.
- 4
Pour the batter into a cake pan and bake for 20-30 minutes at 180℃.
- 5
While the cake is still hot, place a large bowl over the cake to steam while cooling. This will make the cake nice and moist. Once it is cool, sprinkle on the powdered sugar and serve.

Steamed Rice Flour Gateau au Chocolat for Valentine's Day Steamed Rice Flour Gateau au Chocolat for Valentine's Day
I tried making various sweets with rice flour, but it didn't seem to match well with oil, which I assumed was a necessary ingredient. It's really light with rice flour, so I added cocoa powder and soy milk, which has just the right amount of fat. It's really delicious!Wrap the lid of the steamer with a cloth (to prevent condensation from dripping onto the cakes). You can also use milk instead of soy milk. I used 130 ml of soy milk, which is 100 ml + 2 tablespoons. These cakes are still moist and delicious the following day. Recipe by Asamato cookpad.japan -

Rice flour cake with white chocolate & chestnut Rice flour cake with white chocolate & chestnut
There is a sweet which is called "Ukichima" in traditional Wagashi (a Japanese confectionary). It's made from white bean jam, egg and rice flour. I replace bean jam with chestnut puree & white chocolate in this recipe. Yu-Art Kichijoji -
Rice flour cake with white chocolate Rice flour cake with white chocolate
I invented a recipe of a Wagashi like cake which is made from white chocolate (instead of a bean paste) & rice flour. It's much richer than Wagashi but its texture is similar to "Ukishima (a traditional Japanese confectionary)". I cut it in a rhombus-shape. The shape and colors come from "Hishi-mochi (rhombus-shaped mochi)" which is prepared to celebrate "Hina-matsuri (a festival for girls in Japan)" Yu-Art Kichijoji -
Butter-Free Rice Cooker Chocolate Cake Butter-Free Rice Cooker Chocolate Cake
Because this "Butter-Free Sweet Potato Rice Cooker Cake" was so easy but delicious, I tried it with a chocolate flavor!I added a little yogurt to make it less dry. The cake turned out to be moist and I am very proud of this recipe. The number of times you press "Cook" until the cake is done may vary depending on your rice cooker. Please adjust it accordingly. This cake is very moist, so when you check with a bamboo skewer, it may come out with some crumby dough, but if it's not too moist and sticky, it's ok. For 1 cake baked in a 3-rice-cooker-cup capacity rice cooker). Recipe by Kaeha cookpad.japan -

Sweet Rice Flour and Red Bean Paste Cake Sweet Rice Flour and Red Bean Paste Cake
This recipe was passed down for generations amongst the Japanese living in the States. You can enjoy crispy(the outside) and gooey (the inside) texture at once and must like this! I also like to bake with a little bit of green tea powder. It gives a lovely flavour and colour to your cake :) I used homemade azuki red bean paste(check my recipe!), and I don't make this cake very sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, adjust sugar amount as you desire. Canned bean paste also works well. It's usually very sweet. Junquo M Hill
