Steps

In bowl 1:Crush tumeric and dip it in the hot water (I like colourful food/snacks) for about 3min then sieve

In bowl above add cooking oil,lemon juice and zest,yeast,egg,salt and sugar stir thoroughly till all sugar and salt dissolve

Then add flour little by little then knead to a smooth soft dough

Greese an air tight lid container using cooking oil then place the dough and let it rest for about 1hour or until the dough doubles in size

After an hour make balls as we do for chapati

Roll to a medium thickness and make shapes-i usually use a n aluminum bowl and a measuring cup zile za dawa

Follow the step above for all the balls

Proof for 30min more for the precooked doughnuts to increase in size and cover with a towel the warm enhances the size to increase in size faster

Deep fry to your preference colour

Serve with the beverage of your choice when hoooooot!
