For Ramadan this Year, I made Cabbage and Potato Pakodi or to be more clear, say Thin Fritters. These Thin and crispy Fritters are just like Pyaaz or Palak Pakodi. An easily done Pakodi recipe that can be whipped up anytime you crave for some fried item. Fried items are always good when made at home. Try to make sure that you have at least 3 main ingredients for these yummy beauties. When you have Potatoes, Cabbage and Gram Flour, then you are good to go. Stir in some powdered spices and delicious Fritters are ready in no time at all. I have shredded both the Vegetables here. A perfect chai time snack that's a must for many of us Indians. And during this difficult times of lockdown and quarantine, these make for a yummy treat at home with our loved ones. Enjoy a lighter moment with your families with these lovely looking Thin Fritters.

A perfect accompaniment at Tea-time or Shaam Ki Chai. And nowadays at Iftaar. These go very well with Green Grapes and Dates Chutney. And the best part is that it is so crunchy and absolutely a winner. Though initially it may look a bit on the softer side but it will become crisp as it cools down.

Enjoy Frying with Zeen!

Steps

35-40 minutes
  1. 1

Make a semi thick batter with all the ingredients mentioned. Use of water depends on the quality of Gram flour used. Make sure you mix it with your hands. Wash your hands thoroughly before doing so. Keep aside for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

Scatter the batter into the hot Oil. Don't drop small balls as we do for the Pakoras or Fritters. Fry few at a time. Use a clean spoon if you cannot do it with your hands. Stay safe while frying. Fry until golden brown and crisp. Take care not to burn them. Keep an eye while frying. Keep turning at regular intervals to ensure that they are evenly cooked.

  3. 3

Serve with Grapes Chutney or any other dip of your choice. Enjoy!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
