Steps
- 1
Gather all the ingredients. Finely chop the tomato, onion, cilantro, and green chili. In a bowl, add the puffed rice, then mix in the chopped onion, tomato, green chili, and cilantro. Add red chili powder, oil, and squeeze in the lemon juice. If you have spicy or plain Indian snack mix (namkeen), add it as well. I used extra namkeen because that's what I had on hand.
- 2
Mix everything together. Add the green chutney and mix well. You can serve it street-style in a paper cone or on a plate. Adding chutney gives it a great flavor. If you have boiled potatoes, you can add those too—I do this when I have them, and it tastes delicious.

Enjoy spicy bhel puri with your family!
