Crispy urad dal fritter dipped in a hot thin based dal soup makes it a perfect breakfast. The fritter is usually fried in a deep frying oil but in this recipe we have made it healthy by pan frying it on the kuzhi paniyaram pan to make it super healthy for your morning breakfast.

Crispy urad dal fritter dipped in a hot thin based dal soup makes it a perfect breakfast. The fritter is usually fried in a deep frying oil but in this recipe we have made it healthy by pan frying it on the kuzhi paniyaram pan to make it super healthy for your morning breakfast.

Soak Urad dal for 1 to 2 hours. Grind this smoothly by adding little by little water at intervals. Add salt mix it well.

The Batter should be smooth and fine. Usage of the grinder will yield a perfect batter. Add chopped curry leaves, green chilli, coconut bits & eno. Keep oil in a kadai, for deep frying. When oil becomes hot, make small round bonda & fry in medium heat.

Now, take the washed Moong lentils in the cooker, add tomatoes, salt, turmeric, green chillies, ginger, oil and 1.5 glasses of water in it, boil it and blend the lentils after the cooker cools down.

Now, put oil in the pan, add mustard seeds, cumin, asafoetida and curry leaves, add boiled lentils and 1 glass of water and let it boil for 2 minutes. Keep this soup neither too thin nor too thick.

Now, add lemon juice, crushed coconut, pepper powder and coriander. Bonda soup is ready. Take Bonda, pour soup over it, add finely chopped onion and coriander and serve hot.
