Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cupToor Dal
  2. 1/4 cupMoong dal
  3. 1/2 cupMasoor Dal
  4. as requiredWater
  5. 1/4 TspTurmeric Powder
  6. 2 TspGhee
  7. 1 tspOil
  8. 1 tspCumin Seeds
  9. 2 nosRed Chill
  10. 1/2 tspAsafoetida Powder
  11. someCurry Leaves
  12. 1Onion Chopped
  13. 2Green Chili Chopped
  14. 1 tspGarlic Finely Chopped
  15. 1 tspGinger Finely Chopped
  16. 2 nosTomato Chopped
  17. 1/4 tspTurmeric Powder
  18. 2 TspKashmiri Red Chill Powder
  19. 2 TspSalt
  20. 1/2 tspKasuri Methi
  21. 1/2 CupsWater
  22. 1/2 TspGaram Masala
  23. someCoriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and soak all the 3 dals combined together for about 30 minutes.

    Add a pinch of turmeric powder and pressure cook the dals for about 3 whistles.

  3. 3

    Open the pressure cooker after the pressure is released from the cooker, mash the dals well and keep it aside.

    Heat a kadai with some oil and ghee, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chilies and curry leaves, roast them.

    Next, add finely chopped ginger and garlic and green chilies and saute them they are golden brown in color.

    Add onions and saute them till.

    Add tomatoes and cook them until they are soft.

    Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, kasuri methi and mix them well.

    Add the cooked dal and mix well.

    Add enough water and bring it to a boil.

    Finally add garam masala and coriander leaves.

    Ready to serve 😋 mix daal serve with steam rice and jeera rice 😋
