You cannot be wrong with onions and cheese! A simple but delicious pie to eat with a small salad.
Steps

Make the pastry by mixing flour, butter, salt and water.

Peel and cut the onions in thin slices, peel and dice the garlic, then put them in a pan with the butter, stock, nutmeg and sugar.

Heat the pan and cook until onions are soft and start getting brown. Add some water if they're getting brown too fast (before they get soft).

Add the cream, 100 g grated cheese and the black pepper.

Roll out the dough in a pie tin and pour in the mixture. Spread with the remaining grated cheese.

Cook in the oven preheated at 180 C for about 30 min, until it gets brown (but not burned!) on the top.
