Steps

Take tuvar dal and wash it. Add salt turmeric powder and chopped tomato and pressure cook it. After releasing the pressure take out from the cooker & smash it.

In a karchi or pan add ghee then add jeera, hing. Saute for a minute then add it to boiled dal.

Mix well. Then add garam masala and chopped coriander. Let it boil for 5 min.

If you want you can add tadka over it after boiling. Dal fry is ready. You can serve it with jeera rice or roti or plain rice also
