Makki ka Dhokla is a delicious Rajasthani dish made using Makki Ka Atta (Maize Flour). It is a winter delicacy and is enjoyed as a main course with kadhi or as a snack (vegetarian, can be easily made gluten-free)

Take a big mixing bowl and to it add all the ingredients except oil & ghee. Mix all the ingredients nicely & with help of little little Lukewarm water make a dough out of it.. Make sure the dough should be like of Roti/Chapati we prepare. Grease a plate & keep it aside, Apply some oil on hands & take a small portion from the dough. Make a ball like structure & then flattened it on the palms, with help of a finger make a hole in between. Repeat the process for the entire dough.

Ready the steamer & steam the dhoklas for around 15-20 minutes on a high flame.Check the dhoklas with help of a knife whether they are properly steamed or not..If not steam them for more 3-4 minutes..Don't overload the steamer. Once done transfer it on a Plate & pour some melted ghee on the dhoklas. Makki ka dhokla are ready to serve & serve it with preferred choice of chutney/dal/kadhi.
