Pilau to me is simply spiced rice. I commonly prepare it using beef and a few spices, it's tasty with an outstanding aroma.

Beef pilau

Pilau to me is simply spiced rice. I commonly prepare it using beef and a few spices, it's tasty with an outstanding aroma.

Ingredients

  1. 2 glassesrice
  2. 1/2 kgbeef
  3. 1ginger
  4. 1garlic
  5. Pilau masala
  6. 3large tomatoes, ripe
  7. 1medium size lemon
  8. Salt
  9. Cooking oil
  10. Clean waterx

Cooking Instructions

    Set your working space, making the ingredients ready

    Chop your beef.
    Clean and bring to cook till the water is drained.

  3. 3

    As the beef cooks, cut onions, grate ginger and garlic separately cut your tomatoes /blend.

    Once all the water has drained from your beef.
    Add cooking oil, and fry the beef till golden brown

    Add onions and mix,
    Let them cook until brown

    Add garlic and ginger. Mix well to the beef and let cook for 3 mins.

    Add your blended tomatoes
    Or your diced tomatoes
    Cover and let it cook for 3mins.

    Add 3 table spoon of pilau masala,
    Mix well

    Now,, it's time to add water,, measure water based on the amount of rice you want to prepare.
    I used 2 glasses of rice.
    So I added 4 glasses of water to my beef.
    Add salt to taste.
    Stir, cover and let it cook for 4mins

  10. 10

    Add your rice.
    Stir to incorporate into the beef.
    Cover and cook under moderate heat.
    So not wait till your rice starts burning, it will interfere with the pilau taste.

    Cover for 5mins then serve.
    Can be served with any stew or drink or vegetable,
    Just as you love it. 😊
