Spiced Sunmelon peels and seeds Tea

Sun Melons ( also called honeymelon/ honeydew melon)are immensely nutrition rich in vitamins A and C and mineral like potassium, magnesium, along with folic acid and carotenoids. They also contain anti-inflammatory substances and are great for weight management. The seeds are rich in protein and calcium.
Not only the flesh but peels and seeds are nutritious too. So while my family finished the fruit, I decided to make tea from the peels and seeds along with flavourfull spices like cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and peppers. It tasted delicious! Try it!

Steps

First wash and cut the Sunmelon and remove the peels from flesh. Also collect the seeds.

Take water in mentioned quantity and add the peels and seeds along with spices.

Boil coverd on low flame for 15 minutes.

Cool to room temperature and strain. Warm it a little if needed but do not reboil. Add honey and a pinch of salt to enhance taste. Enjoy the delicious and healthy tea.
