Beef Roast with mash

Does feed 2 People with leftovers of Roasted Carrots and Roasted Parsnips

Ingredients

  1. 1KG raw Roasting Beef Joint
  2. Vegetable Oil
  3. Salt
  4. 500 graw Carrots
  5. 1000g/ 1KG raw Parsnips
  6. 1000g/ 1Kg White Potatoes suitable for boil and mash
  7. 250 mlPasteurized Cow Milk
  8. 125 gblock of butter
  9. 8 heaped tsp. Beef Gravy Granules
  10. About 600 ml of boiling hot water
  11. Salt and Pepper to season the roasting Vegetable

Cooking Instructions

    Slowly Roast the Beef Joint with Kitchen Foil over the top. Gas Mark 2 for 10 hours. Rest. Then carve

    Water wash the whole raw Vegetables in a very large Mixing Bowl and then add to a very large Roasting Tin - drizzle some Vegetable Oil over the top of the raw vegetables and then roast them in the oven at Gas Mark 7 for 2 hours turning halfway through Cooking time

    One hour before the end of cooking time - very gently boil peeled White Potatoes - once cooked - drain away hot water and then add the Cow Milk and Butter - melt - then mash with the back of a Dinner Fork if you don't have a proper Masher and keep stirring until the mash thickens

    Add 8 heaped measuring teaspoons of Beef Gravy Granules to a large Mixing Bowl and then add no more than 600ml of boiling hot water from the Electric Kettle over the Gravy Granules and then keep stirring and then place the cold cooked Beef slices in the very hot Gravy and then place half of the mash on a Dinner Plate and then add the meat slices - add some of the Gravy and then finally add some of your roasted Carrots and Parsnips
