Ingredients

  • 2 cupsflour
  • 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tspcinnamon
  • 1/2 tspnutmeg
  • 1/2 tspginger
  • 2/3 cupbutter or margarine
  • 1/4 cupsugar
  • 1/4 cupbrown sugar
  • 1egg
  • 2 tablespoonsmolasses
  • 1/2 cupfinely crushed peppermint stick candy (about 2 oz)

Steps

  1. 1

    Sift together flour, baking powede, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar.

  3. 3

    Blend in egg and molasses.

  4. 4

    Add candy and dry ingredients (from step 1).

  5. 5

    Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.

  6. 6

    Bake 350 degrees 12-15 minutes.

  7. 7
