Salmon with Sudachi Mayonnaise Sauce

I created this sauce recipe to highlight sudachi, which is a specialty of my hometown.

Be patient until the skin of the salmon becomes crispy and the salmon is cooked half-way through.
If you like, you can add stir-fried vegetables on top, before spreading the sauce. It will make the dish heartier. For 4 servings. Recipe by Kanikoro

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 4 sliceRaw salmon
  2. 1Salt and pepper
  3. 1Plain flour
  4. 1 cloveGarlic
  5. 1 tbspOil
  6. Sudachi Mayonnaise Sauce
  7. 3 tbspMayonnaise
  8. 1squeeze 1 sudachi Sudachi (if not, lemon or other citrus fruits)
  9. 1 tbspSugar
  10. 1Krazy Salt (if not, salt and pepper)

Cooking Instructions

    Rub salt and pepper gently onto the salmon. Coat with flour lightly. Mix the sudachi mayonnaise sauce ingredients.

    Heat oil in a pan, add the garlic, and start pan-frying the salmon, skin side first. When the skin becomes crispy, flip, and continue pan-frying until cooked through.

    Spread the sudachi mayonnaise sauce onto the salmon from Step 2, and it's done. You can add stir-fried vegetables on top if you want, which adds extra volume.
