Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 100 gramsCake flour
  2. 4 gramsBaking powder
  3. 1Egg
  4. 30 gramsSugar
  5. 80 gramsMilk
  6. 1 dashVanilla extract

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Crack eggs in a bowl and add sugar. Mix well.

  2. 2

Sift the cake flour and baking powder into the bowl.

  3. 3

Combine lightly and add milk for a thick consistency.

  4. 4

Allow the mixture to retain some lumps as this makes the pancakes puff up more easily! Also, less milk is better.

  5. 5

Add vanilla essence if you like.

  6. 6

Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan. Once hot, remove the frying pan from the heat and place on a wet kitchen towel to reduce the temperature.

  7. 7

Return it to low heat. Ladle one scoop of the mixture from a high position onto the frying pan.

  8. 8

Cook for about 2 and a half minutes, until bubbles appear on the surface. Flip over.

  9. 9

Now cover the pan with a lid for about 2 more minutes.

  10. 10

The pancakes should cook through to the middle.
