Delicious American Ribeye Steak Cooking Method
Ribeye is often grilled, but I tried a delicious and easy method using a frying pan and oven.
The origin of this recipe
I wanted to try cooking steak in the oven, so I gave it a shot. By heating the frying pan in the oven, the outside became crispy while the inside stayed juicy.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Let the meat sit at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours. This time, I placed it on a plate and covered it with plastic wrap for about 1 1/2 hours.
- 2
Set the oven to 400°F and place the frying pan inside to heat.
- 3
While the oven is heating, brush one side of the meat with oil and season with salt and pepper. Since the meat is quite fatty, you might want to use a generous amount of salt.
- 4
Take the frying pan out of the oven and place it on high heat. Put the oiled and seasoned side of the meat down and cook for 3-4 minutes without touching it.
- 5
Brush oil and season the other side, flip the meat, and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- 6
Place the frying pan with the meat back in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
- 7
Remove from the oven and let the meat rest for about 20 minutes before serving.

This method resulted in a medium-cooked steak. The photo shows the steak after being transferred to a container to rest.
