Ingredients

Makes enough for 3–4 servings, as shown in the photo.
  • 200 g(about 7 oz) ◯ ground chicken
  • 1/2 block(about 7 oz/200g) ◯ firm tofu
  • 1/4◯ onion
  • 1 tablespoon◯ potato starch (or cornstarch)
  • 1 cm(about 1/2 teaspoon) from a tube ◯ garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoonfrom a tube ◯ ginger paste
  • 3 tablespoons☆ soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons☆ vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons☆ sugar
  • To taste ☆ white sesame seeds
  • To taste egg yolk

Steps

  1. 1

    Finely chop the onion and thoroughly drain the tofu. In a small bowl, mix together all the ☆ sauce ingredients.

  2. 2

    To drain the tofu, wrap it in a paper towel and microwave for 2 minutes. Replace with a fresh paper towel and gently squeeze out excess water.

  3. 3

    In a bowl, combine all ◯ ingredients and mix until sticky. Shape into patties of your preferred size.

    Heat oil in a skillet. Sear both sides of the patties until browned, then cover and steam over low heat for about 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Check if the patties are fluffy and cooked through, then remove them from the skillet and set aside.

  6. 6

    In the same skillet, add the ☆ sauce mixture. Once it comes to a boil, reduce the heat and return the patties to the pan. Simmer over low to medium heat, turning to coat, until the sauce thickens. Serve!
