Ingredients

Serves 1 serving
  1. 1/4-1/2onion
  2. 3-3.5 ozchicken thigh
  3. 1egg
  4. 1 tablespoon● shirodashi (Japanese soup base)
  5. 1 tablespoon● mirin (sweet rice wine)
  6. 1 teaspoon● sugar
  7. 1/2 tablespoon● sake (Japanese rice wine)
  8. 1/2 tablespoon● soy sauce
  9. about 1/2 cup ● water (100 ml)
  10. as neededgreen onion or mitsuba (Japanese parsley)

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and slice the onion.

    Add the ● ingredients to a frying pan and mix. Heat over medium until it lightly boils.

    Add the onion and simmer for a while.

    When the onion becomes translucent, add the chicken and continue to simmer.

    Meanwhile, crack the egg into a bowl and lightly beat it, cutting through the egg whites. *Do not mix completely! This is important!
