Cut the ingredients into bite-sized pieces. Rough chopping is fine.

Add all the broth ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the vegetables and other ingredients, starting with those that take longer to cook. Add the meat last.

Once it starts to simmer, reduce to medium heat and cook until all the ingredients are cooked through.

[Note] If you plan to finish with udon or ramen noodles, be careful not to use up all the broth.
