A parent completed this assignment for their child's school project in the US.
Background of this recipe:
There was a class introducing Japanese cuisine at an American school, and I chose onigiri because it's one of the simplest Japanese foods, but not very well known here.

Steps
- 1
Wet your hands with water.
- 2
Sprinkle a pinch of salt onto your hands and spread it evenly.
- 3
Place some rice in one hand and make a small indentation in the center.
- 4
Add your chosen filling, then cover it with a little more rice.
- 5
Shape the rice into a triangle by gently pressing it between your hands.
- 6
Wrap with nori if you like.
- 7
Make sure the rice is cooked ahead of time. Freshly cooked rice can be very hot and may burn your hands.
