Swiss Chard With Sesame Sauce Swiss Chard With Sesame Sauce
I once saw Swiss chard used in a TV cooking show overseas a long time ago.I happened to find it at a supermarket in Tokyo and bought it on impulse, although I'd never eaten it. It said on the package that it wasn't bitter and was good for salad, but the first time I bought it, the stems were a bit thick, so I ended up blanching it and coating it with sesame sauce. I really liked the texture and I've been making it this way ever since.Sesame seeds are best freshly toasted, so either re-toast or microwave them before using. This recipe uses enzyme juice instead of sugar. I recommend kumquat or plum enzyme juice.Enzyme juice from wild plants or grains are not suitable for cooking. Recipe by caterina cookpad.japan -
Chrysanthemum Greens & Chicken with Sesame Sauce Chrysanthemum Greens & Chicken with Sesame Sauce
In Korea, they often eat uncooked chrysanthemum greens, but they also prepare it in a 'namul' type dish.1. Don't boil the chrysanthemum for too long. The fragrance and the texture will be ruined.2. First combine the seasoning ingredients to make a strong flavor. Then add the sesame oil and sesame seeds. It will come out so much better if you follow the correct order to add the ingredients. How to Make Sesame Sauce for Chilled Chinese-style Noodles with Poached Chicken How to Make Sesame Sauce for Chilled Chinese-style Noodles with Poached Chicken
We like chilled Chinese-style noodles with lots of vegetables, so the sauce sachets included with the shop-bought noodle packets are too small. We want to use plenty of sauce, so I always make homemade sauce and keep in the fridge. If zhi ma jiang or sesame paste are not available, you don't have to use them! Add more ground sesame seeds instead. You can use the soup from poaching the chicken (150 ml) to make the sauce instead of the boiling water, water and Chinese chicken stock granules. Add some salt if necessary. If you add the sauce sachets attached to the noodle packets, make just half of the homemade sauce. Add more doubanjiang or ra-yu to taste.
