Freezing Stuffed Peppers for the future
Why not make them ahead. So I did.
Steps
- 1
Cut the top where the stem is at. Remove the seeds and ribs of each pepper. Use the pepper tops to dice for the filling. Add to a bowl along with the ground chuck, rice, spices, and onion.
- 2
Add the tomato sauce and mix well till all the filling ingredients are incorporated well.
- 3
Add the filling to the pepper bottoms. Take a thick piece of cardboard and cover it with parchment paper. Add the cardboard to a Ziploc bag. Slide the stuffed peppers on top of the cardboard covered with parchment paper. Seal the bag date it and label it for the future. When you go to cook them allow them to thaw. Then put them into a hot 400° Fahrenheit oven for 45-55 minutes. Serve them with your favorite red sauce. I hope you enjoy!!!
