Cooking Instructions

First, prepare the kofta mixture by combining all the ingredients and mixing well by hand. Let it rest in the refrigerator for two hours, or preferably overnight before preparing.

Take a small ball of the kofta mixture and flatten it by hand to form a patty about 1 cm thick. Set aside on a plate.

Add the tomato paste to the broth, season with salt and pepper to taste, and let it simmer on the stove while you prepare the vegetables.

Prepare a baking dish and start layering the kofta patties and vegetables in order: a kofta patty, a potato slice, a tomato slice, a bell pepper slice, and so on until the dish is full.

Pour the simmering sauce over the baking dish, cover with foil, and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) on the middle rack for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and turn on the broiler for 2 minutes to give the top a nice color.

Serve the kofta with white rice and salad. Enjoy! 😘😘😘
