Wash arbi leaves and remove the veins. Chopped it fine. Chopped tomato, onion and garlic.

Take a pan. Add oil. Once oil is hot, add asafoetida. Saute for some time and add onion. Saute till it becomes golden. Add tomato.

Add salt and other masalas. Saute for some time. Add washed moong dal. Add water and cook for some time with covered lid. Open and add chopped leaves and cover it again..

Cook for another 5-7 minutes. It's ready.. serve hot with Roti.
