Chicken Piadina Wraps with Aromatic Flavors

This dish came to mind because on Saturday mornings, when I'm in a hurry, I go to the market to get fried chicken strips for my son, who loves them. So I thought about making them at home, adding different seasonings. They're delicious on their own, but to make them even better, I wrapped them in a piadina (Italian flatbread).

Cut the chicken breast into strips. Soak them in the milk and water mixture for 2 hours to make them more tender and to mellow the chicken flavor.

Drain the chicken and pat dry with paper towels.

Meanwhile, prepare three plates: one with panko, one with breadcrumbs mixed with lemon and lime zest, and another with breadcrumbs, paprika, and black pepper.

Beat the two eggs and dip the chicken strips in the eggs, then coat them in the breadcrumb mixtures.

Fry the chicken strips in plenty of hot oil.

Lightly salt the chicken strips and assemble your piadina wraps as you like. I used mayonnaise, lettuce, and sliced tomatoes. Roll them up and enjoy!
