First, take a large bowl. Mix in all the ingredients except lemon juice, sugar and baking soda.

Add water and whisk to a thick batter. Then add lemon juice, sugar and baking soda. Mix well.

Heat the appe pan over medium heat. Then fill each mold with the prepared batter with a spoon.

Add oil around the edges (1 teaspoon for each appe mold). Cover and cook. Flip the sides and cook from the base too.

Remove and serve hot with your choice of dip, Chutney, yoghurt, stew or ketchup.
