This is a simple Curry made with homemade Lentil dumplings using both Yellow Split Lentils/Moong Daal and whole Green Gram/Sabut Hari Moong. It's absolutely an excellent option for mealtimes. Be it a Lunch or a Dinner, this is super tempting and delicious. The dumplings are shallow fried and used in the Curry with an irresistible Onion Tomato base along with mini cubed Potatoes.

It's a semi thick Curry and often goes well with both Rotis and Rice. It's an everyday option. One can make it on any given day for mealtimes. The best part is that it's' simple preparation without any fancy ingredients or an exhausting process. This can be made super quickly in just a few minutes either with homemade dumplings or store bought one's as well.

Steps

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

First of all, make sure to fry the dumplings. Set aside for later use. This is the first step towards the preparation of this dish. It's a must. Do not add the dumplings to the curry without frying.

    Sabut Hari Moong Daal
  5. 5

Serve it piping hot alongside both Rice and Rotis at mealtimes. The curry is semi thick and not very runny. Therefore it goes well with any Indian Bread as well. Enjoy!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
