We can add brinjal (Ringan) or Potato with tuver and it tastes awesome.

Ingredients

15 minutes
3 serves
  1. 1 bowlfull of fresh Tuver/pigeon peas
  2. 2Brinjals/Ringan
  3. 1tomato
  4. 1onion
  5. 2Green chillies
  6. 2 clovesgarlic
  7. 1 inchGinger
  8. 1 tspsalt
  9. 1 tspchilli powder
  10. 1 tspTurmeric powder
  11. 1 tbspcoriander powder
  12. 1 Glasswater
  13. 1 tbspfresh coriander
  14. 1 tbspoil
  15. 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  16. 1 tspCumin and Carom seeds mix
  17. 1/2 tspAsafoetida

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Peel the fresh tuver.
    Cut the ringan in dice, keep them in the bowl of water.
    Crush the tomato,onion, chilli, garlic and ginger.
    Add salt Chilli, turmeric and coriander powder in it and mix well with little water.
    Keep aside.

    Take oil in a pressure cooker.
    Add mustard seeds Carom seeds, cumin seeds and Asafoetida.
    Let it crackle well.
    Then add tomato onion mixture and saute well till oil release.

    Now add fresh tuver and ringan.
    Mix with the tomato mixture.
    After that add water
    When water starts boiling, close the lid and blow 3-4 whistles.
    Switch off the gas.

    After releasing an air,
    Open the cooker.
    Transfer the subji in a glass bowl.
    Sprinkle fresh coriander and serve immediately.
    Enjoy yummy subji with roti and rice..
