Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 2 cupschana dal
  2. 1chopped onion
  3. 2 tspcinnamon powder
  4. 3 tspoil
  5. 2 tspginger chilli paste
  6. 2 tsplemon juice
  7. 2 tspsugar
  8. 4 tspchopped coriander
  9. 2 tspchopped cashews
  10. 1 tspraisins
  11. 1 tspturmeric powder
  12. 1 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  13. 1/2 tsphing
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Oil to deep fry samosa
  16. Water to steam chanadal
  17. 12Samosa sheets readymade
  18. Maida paste to seal samosa

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak chanadal in water for 4 hours. Drain it. And with a little water, steam it in pressure cooker till 3 whistles blows.

    Take a pan, add oil, hing, ginger chilli paste. Add chopped onion and saute it.

    Add steamed chanadal, and mix well. Add chopped cashews, raisins, salt, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon powder, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder. Mix well. Lastly, add chopped coriander.

    Take a samosa sheet. Make fold as shown in pics. Fill chanadal stuffings, seal with maida paste. Make all samosa in the same way.

    Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry all patties samosa in batches on a low to medium flame till turns crispy.

    Ready to serve. Enjoy it with tomato ketchup and green chutney..
