Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao)

Pad Kee Mao, or Drunken Noodles, is a flavorful stir-fried noodle dish that kicks up the heat compared to Pad See Ew. While not as common in Thailand as it is in the U.S., it has become a fan-favorite. With its savory, spicy, and slightly sweet flavors, it’s a delicious and adaptable dish you can easily make at home.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Sauce: Mix 2 tbsp Oyster sauce, 2 tbsp fish sauce, 2 tbsp Light Soy Sauce, 2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce and 1 tsp Sugar.
- 2
Prepare the noodles. If using wide rice noodles, carefully separate the noodles apart. If using spaghetti or ramen, boil according to package directions and set aside.
- 3
Prepare the protein. Cook the protein of your choice in a teaspoon of light soy sauce and set aside.
- 4
Turn your pan to medium high heat. Sauté garlic and chilis for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 5
Add in carrots and bell peppers (if using).
- 6
Turn heat up to high. Toss in the noodles and immediately top with sauce. Mix it so it is well-coated.
- 7
Let the noodles sit at high heat for a few minutes until they caramelize. This will help bring the flavor out.
- 8
Turn heat off. Stir in the basil.
- 9
Serve and enjoy. Top with chili flakes if you want more spice!

Thai Fried Noodles (Pad Siewe) Thai Fried Noodles (Pad Siewe)
These flavorful Asian dishes, that are not expensive, easy to make, and pretty quick, I am starting to love. The first time I made this recipe, I was shocked how good it turned out. Caution, can be to salty if you do not use low sodium soy sauce. I sub 1 tablespoon water for 1 of regular soy sauce if I am out of low sodium. I also like to add 1 tablespoon of hot sauce to the sauce for a little heat, but it is not part of the original recipe. Fo Fa -

Easy Pad Thai with Dried Udon Noodles Easy Pad Thai with Dried Udon Noodles
You can make an easy Thai dish with dried udon noodles even if you don't have sen lek (Thai rice noodles)! You can use white sugar instead of brown sugar if you want. It's more authentic to add bean sprouts or atsuage (thick fried tofu), but it's also tasty with the crisp onion. Recipe by Wa Station cookpad.japan -
