Ingredients

  1. 1.1 lbsfinely ground beef (500 grams)
  2. 1.1 lbscoarsely ground beef (500 grams)
  3. 1.1 lbsfine bulgur wheat (500 grams)
  4. 2-3onions
  5. Pine nuts
  6. Kibbeh spices
  7. Cumin
  8. Paprika
  9. Salt
  10. 7spice blend
  11. Black pepper

    Soak the bulgur wheat in water until it doubles in size. Add the finely ground beef, spices, and kibbeh spices, then knead the mixture until it forms a cohesive dough.

    Divide the dough into two equal parts. Press the first part evenly into the bottom of a baking dish.

  3. 3

    Sauté the coarsely ground beef with onions and pine nuts, then spread this filling over the dough in the baking dish. Cover with the second half of the dough and brush the top with a little oil.

  4. 4

    Bake in a preheated oven at top and bottom heat for at least 40 minutes, or until the edges start to brown. Turn off the oven when the edges are golden.
