Easy On a Grill! Gohei Mochi (Grilled Rice Cake with Sweet Miso Sauce) Easy On a Grill! Gohei Mochi (Grilled Rice Cake with Sweet Miso Sauce)
I wanted to make an easy Gohei Mochi recipe to cook at home. This recipe requires only a stick, plastic wrap, and a grill! Sweet sticky rice is already sticky, so you don't need to mash it. That makes this dish easier. The miso mixture burns easily, so adjust the heat and grilling time accordingly. You can also use walnuts instead of sesame seeds. The cooking methods and shape of the rice cakes might differ in different areas. I created this recipe so that people can make this dish at home. Recipe by handmadecafe cookpad.japan -

Chocolate Mochi Cake Chocolate Mochi Cake
This is a great little cake that goes well with coffee or tea. Like all mochi cakes, it has a nice springy, slightly chewy texture. Please note that this is not a super sweet cake. If you’re seeking a boost of extra sweetness, try drizzling it with a bit of caramel or melted chocolate. This is an amalgamation of a couple of recipes posted elsewhere. Next time, I think I’ll try adding a bit of espresso powder to the batter! Chris Gan -
