Tapioca (Kappa) Kerala Style

Usually, the best combination with this Tapioca recipe is Kerala Meen ( Fish ) Curry, but that was not an option for me as a vegetarian. This is really a simple yet wonderful recipe. It tastes heavenly with coconut oil. If you are trying this recipe, I insist that you use coconut oil.

Clean the Tapioca and cut it into cubes. Wash it thoroughly.

Add some water, salt, and turmeric to the Tapioca and boil it till it becomes tender. Take a pan. Add coconut oil. Add mustard and Asafoetida, curry leaves, dried red chilli, and freshly ground green chillies, ginger, and garlic. Saute for some time on a low flame.

Add chopped onion and turmeric. Add grated coconut and saute.

Add boiled Tapioca and mix it well. Continue to cook on a low flame for some more time. Serve.
