Chicken Xacuti is an exotic Chicken Curry dish from Goa. The marinated Chicken pieces are simmered in freshly ground masala paste and Coconut Milk.
Chicken Xacuti (pronounced as "Sha kuti") is a rich, aromatic and spicy Goan curry. The dish is distinguished by it's deep earthy flavour from a complex blend of a few roasted spices and Coconut. Traditionally it is made with Chicken. But other variations are exceptionally done with Lamb, Beef and Crab.

Goan cuisine is not just about seafood. It is much diverse and since this dish was influenced by the Portuguese, it is named as such. The flavour profile of this dish is from the roasted spices along with fresh Coconut and followed by Coconut Milk that not only gives it the heat because of the dry Red Chillies but also a subtlety due to the presence of Coconut. All in all, a super delicious and a perfect side for many a family gatherings and special occasions. Let's begin with the recipe right away.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
