Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  1. 6 1/3 ozspaghetti (180 g)
  2. 1 lb (2 oz)frozen clams in the shell (500 g)
  3. 3 tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
  4. 1 clovegarlic
  5. 7-8(about 4 oz) cherry or grape tomatoes (about 120 g)
  6. 2 tablespoonswhite wine (30 ml)
  7. Salt, to taste
  8. 1 pinchblack pepper
  9. 1 dashcrushed red pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Bring a pot of water to a boil, add salt, and cook the spaghetti.

  2. 2

    In a large skillet, heat the olive oil with the garlic, then remove the garlic.

  3. 3

    Add the frozen clams, cover, and cook until they open.

  4. 4

    Add the chopped tomatoes, then the white wine. Increase the heat to let the wine evaporate. Add salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper.

  5. 5

    Cook for a few more minutes.

  6. 6

    Drain the pasta while still al dente and toss it in the skillet with the clam sauce.
