This fun and beautiful starter will be the highlight of your Christmas party, especially for kids! It's a creative twist on garlic bread that I saw on social media and decided to share here.
Steps
- 1
First, blanch the spinach by adding it to boiling water with a little salt and sugar. Immediately transfer to cold water, then drain and dry thoroughly.
- 2
To make garlic butter, heat the butter in a pan, add the finely chopped garlic and cilantro, and mix well to prepare the garlic butter.
- 3
For the stuffing, crumble the paneer into a bowl. Add the blanched spinach, mix in the chopped onion, green chili, chili flakes, oregano, and salt. Add processed cheese and mozzarella cheese if you like, then top with cilantro and mix well.
- 4
Cut the bread slices into triangles to resemble Christmas trees. Trim the sides to shape them.
- 5
Spread garlic butter on each bread slice, add the stuffing, then place the trimmed bread edges on top and add more stuffing. Press gently. When baked, the melted cheese will help the edges stick, forming a tree shape.
- 6
Prepare all the bread slices this way. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 5 minutes.
- 7
Place the Christmas tree breads in the air fryer and cook for 5 minutes. Check halfway through. They should be crispy and golden. No dip is needed, but you can enjoy them with ketchup or green chutney if you like.
- 8
Sprinkle chili flakes on top and serve your Spinach Paneer Christmas Tree at your Christmas party!
